The Journey of Metallica from Death Magnetic to Beyond Magnetic

In this post, I will talk about Metallica journey from the years between Death Magnetic to Beyond Magnetic. I will also cover the exit for Metallica from Bob Rock to Rick Rubin. This was Rob Trujillo first album with Metallica, and the comeback to the old-style Metallica had with this album, Death Magnetic. I will also cover the road in between the rock and roll hall of fame to lulu to beyond magnetic. As well as what I liked off Death Magnetic, Lulu, and beyond Magnetic. What Does Metallica Load and Reload Mean to Me?

Both albums were not the most popular of Metallica discography. Both have their highs and lows. I get it for the ones that checked out. The haircuts, the style change, the look etc., was a change not everything was a fan of. At one point I was the same, but this period did grow on me. The style change was different on me too. I also share what I liked of each album of load or reload and what songs have never been played live.

Stone Cold’s 2001 Heel Turn — Chaos, Chaos, and Why It Didn’t Work

2001 was one of WWE’s most chaotic years. Between WrestleMania moments, shocking turns, injuries, and the Invasion storyline, one thing fans still debate is Stone Cold Steve Austin turning heel. For a guy whose persona was all about anti-authority rebellion, siding with Vince McMahon and later the Alliance confused fans. Even with Ric Flair’s return, shocking matches, and segments like the comedic alliance with Vince and Kurt, which the heel turn never fully landed. Here’s a look back at the year, the moments, and why it all felt messy.

Metallica St. Anger - Hit or Miss?

In this post, I share my thoughts. I give the build up from Jason leaving, James going to rehab, and Metallica future a question mark. I also cover the brief period with Bob Rock as a bass player. Then Rob Trujillo comes in because Bob can't tour. St. Anger comes out with Bob Rock. But what songs do I like and dislike. What songs haven't been played live. As well as Metallica leaving Bob Rock for Rick Rubin. Which was right before Death Magnetic. Which made fans happy.

Ranking Metallica Bass Players

In this post, I will rank all the bass players members of Metallica from Ron Mcgovney to Cliff Burton to Jason Newsted to Rob Trujillo. All 4 are great in their own way but only one can be number one. I will also say what all gave to Metallica as a whole. Jason was like a second frontman. Cliff held Metallica well together. Rob does good but does feel more like a bass player, and Ron wasn't in the band that long, but for what he offered wasn't bad as a bass player. All 4 had their periods and I break down what all 4 meant to me for their periods as members of Metallica.

Blog Post on Will Iced Earth Reunite – Schaffer Decision

In this post, I talk about whether an Iced Earth reunion is even possible. I go into Jon Schaffer turning down big money, Stu Block’s exit and how things fell apart, and what’s happening now. Ashes of Ares is on tour with their new album The New Messiah, and Matt Barlow is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Dark Saga. So, the big question is: could Matt ever reunite with Jon for one more Iced Earth run? I also show off the Iced Earth CDs I own below—none of them are for sale. Some of what I cover comes from Jon’s recent interview on Podcast of the Wicked.
