My introduction to Metallica and Their music
I got into Metallica as a teenager, around 2011. Metallica became one of my favorites along my twenties. I would say the black album and justice for all are the two albums that hooked me. I really liked the first five albums. I have enjoyed the last two albums. My favorite album is the album of ride the lightning. I always have liked Fade to Black and Battery. Those songs are my two favorites by Metallica. I haven't seen Metallica live but I might one day.
Thoughts on Metallica newest album, 72 Season.
When I heard a new album was coming out, I had three types of feeling towards it. I was like because I enjoyed the last album, Hardwired, I would give it a chance. I also felt like Metallica lost its hunger years ago to really make a good album and what I heard in the first two songs, I didn't like it so far. But I will give it a chance to hear the album in full when it comes out. I also felt like Metallica has too many songs that they don't play, play the same songs live all the time, and don't really need a new album. I would rather Metallica play songs they don't play then make a new album. But do what you want to. When I heard the new album in full, the album felt disappointing unlike the last album. I only kind of liked the title track, 72 Seasons but didn't care for anything else on the album. I have heard this album has been disappointing to people. I will say I felt the same. I feel like I don't mind Metallica making new music but if it's not good, it's not good, I don't care to hear it, and they don't need a new album. Metallica lost its drive in the mid 90s but that what money will do to you. I feel like the last couple years is that I still like Metallica but don't really need new music by them. The older stuff is fine. I feel the same with Iron Maiden on new music.
