Thoughts on YouTube TV

YouTube tv is great!

I know this is becoming a popular tv streaming service. So, I’m going to give it a review. It is definitely worth trying. I had it from the summer of 2018 to the summer of 2021. I thought it was a great service. But I decided to get rid of it because of cost and I don’t watch a lot of live tv except a few shows on Viacom and history channel. I do have Philo and will do a review on that. I watch a lot more stuff on the YouTube app. But getting back to YouTube tv, I thought it was great. I had to get used to the price raises as new channels come in. But at 70$, it still about half of the price of direct tv. I rarely had any issues with it. It rarely buffered. The tv quality is great and the dvr is great for unlimited. It was better than having direct tv because I didn’t have to worry about space and could record multiple shows at one time without having to worry about a show not getting recorded. The channels are great and has almost everything on satellite for a lower price. But besides that, it’s a great service and great for someone who watches tv and doesn’t want to pay a lot for cable or satellite. Also, someone looking for live tv for under 100$. I would definitely recommend it. If I didn’t decide to cut back on streaming in 2021, I would still have it.

What Else Does YouTube TV Have

You get just about everything with YouTube without a few channels I mention in the below text. You need a Gmail account. You do have a free trial. Also, a dvr that saves shows up to 9 months. The DVR works by clicking the plus and has no storage. So, no worrying about deleting a show. You do get notification in the home for a show. So, after you watch it, you will see a checkmark. But you can watch it anything that the show is in the storage even if it is just 9 months. You can pick the channel lineup in the app, so you can put your favorite channels to the top. Accounts up to 6 accounts which is great for family and friends. Also has tons of movie adds on like HBO and Stars.

Channels I would like to see

I think YouTube tv needs to come up with a good bit of channels in a category based on what channels are related to a category. Like kids, entertainment, news, sports, locals, etc. Each category could be a set of channels, and you don’t have to pay as high if you are someone who doesn’t watch news or sports. I know those channels can cost a little bit. I’m someone who doesn’t watch a lot of news or sports, so I understand. Before I got rid of YouTube tv, I kind of wish they could add a&e and history channels, and AXSTV.

Packages would help

I think YouTube Tv needs to break down the channels into smaller packages. Like sling, with Sports, News, Kids, Entertainment, and Locals. Also have some free channels and add a free package like Philo has added. Try to make each package like a small plan like 30$. This would be great for people who don't watch sports or news. Alacarte would also help, as in pick the channels you watch if that is possible. But other than that YouTube is great.

Closing Thoughts on YouTube TV

I definitely recommend checking out YouTube TV. You have learned the channels, dvr, and have up to 6 accounts to use like I said above. You have learned my ideas to make YouTube TV better. So, if you like what read, click the link below, and give it a try. You never know, until someone tries it, but that is up to you.

Thoughts on Mercari Marketplace App - Pros and Cons

I tell all about my experiences with Mercari. I used Mercari between 2017 up until I booted off the site. I got booted off in 2021, November 2021. I don't recommend Mercari at all. It was definitely upsetting to deal with, but you read that I figured out what Mercari really is, greedy and selfish. My rules or the highway type of marketplace.
